What is TEDx? In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxJacksonville, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxJacksonville event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

This year’s conference theme is a meditation on not only the incredible richness of being human, but also the intimate relationship between humanity and the natural world. Humanity and nature are not separate — we are interconnected and interdependent. The impact that human actions have on nature is as self evident as the impact nature has on us. We invite you to reflect on both the humanity that unites us, and the planet that sustains us.

The conference will begin at 11 a.m. and conclude at 5:15 p.m.

  • Registration opens: 10:15 a.m.
  • Session One: 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Lunch: 12:30 p.m to 1:40 p.m.
  • Session Two 1:45 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Break: 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m
  • Session Three: 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
  • AfterGlow Party: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

We’re featuring regional and global flavors from some of Jacksonville’s best food trucks! A diverse selection of Latin American, Mediterranean, African, and American-inspired options are available. You will select your preferred lunch when you register for the conference.

We’re excited to be returning to WJCT Studios, the site of our first TEDxJacksonville conference in 2013. WJCT is located at 100 Festival Parkway, directly across from Daily’s Place and the EverBank Stadium. Free parking is available onsite.
