What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxJacksonville, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxJacksonville event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
We are hard at work planning our 2015 conference, which will take place Saturday, October 24th, at the WJCT Studios, and we are eager to hear from potential speakers who have an amazing idea that is worth sharing. Ideal candidates will have a message that is clear, concise, compelling, original and relevant to this year’s theme, Into the Machine.
If you believe this could be you, then we invite you to learn more about the application process on our Apply to Speak page. The deadline for submitting speaker applications is June 15th.
