Carol Clifford received the Doctor of Music in Voice and Open Performance from Florida State University (Go Noles!) and has appeared in operas, plays, concerts and musicals in Europe and across the USA from the MET to various European opera houses. She has been involved in many aspects of coaching and presentations, running the gamut from performance to speech training to vocal rehabilitation and medical presentation (Otolaryngological Assembly at Piccolo Spoleto in Charleston, SC, Training Performers with Spasmodic Dysphonia). She was honored to work with the late Mary Martin in a production of a new musical production (Casanova) produced by the Broadway Musical Actors Project of New York.
Dr. Clifford founded The Orange Park Chorale in 1993 and currently serves as the Artistic Director Emerita. Previously, she was Artist in Residence for the State of Iowa and for FSU’s prestigious Musical Theatre Program. She recently retired from Stetson University where she was Visiting Professor of Voice.
Carole is the proud “mama” of four Maine Coon cats and enjoys working with costume jewelry, repurposing pieces into a multitude of designs from home office decor, modern jewelry uses, and wedding bouquets, as well as serving as a broker of signed costume jewelry pieces.
